A Guide for Development and Preparation of a National BIM Exchange Standard has been prepared by Dr. Chuck Eastman and his project team based on their experience in producing Information Delivery Manuals and Model View Definitions for the Precast Concrete project, which was funded by the Charles Pankow Foundation and others. This is a very valuable document for those beginning to define how the industry needs to change the way it does business as it follows the NBIMS-US™ Version 1 approach very closely. It provides the steps necessary in building a team and producing the documents so that you do not have to invent it on your own.
